Punta Gorda
Marina
A longstanding boatyard already had the expertise and loyalty. The website's job was to make its scale, access and repair capabilities immediately believable to boat owners with bigger needs.

01 · The challenge
Word of mouth had built the business. The website needed to show why.
Punta Gorda Marina had served the local boating community for decades and had a solid client base built largely through reputation. But a referral alone could not show a prospective customer the size of the yard, the waterfront access, the lifting equipment or the depth of repair work happening on site.
The opportunity was to turn operational capability into visual proof—especially for owners of larger boats deciding whether the marina could handle a demanding haul-out, repair or storage need.
02 · The strategy
Show the scale.
Earn the confidence.
Original photography documented the working marina honestly: boats on stands, repairs in progress, dock access and the physical space required for substantial work. Drone footage widened the story, revealing the marina's direct position on the Peace River and its practical route from Charlotte Harbor.

03 · The content
Organized around the questions serious boat owners ask.
The site brought the marina's most valuable services forward: maintenance and repair, secure storage, haul-outs, surveys and lift access. Navigation instructions and helpful videos reduced uncertainty before arrival, while photography gave every service claim a tangible setting.
- Maintenance & complex repairs
- Long-term land and dock storage
- 15- and 35-ton lift capabilities
- Water and land access guidance
04 · The identity
A familiar marina mark, carefully refreshed.
Punta Gorda Marina already had a recognizable logo built around an anchor and horizontal badge. The goal was not to replace it with an unrelated identity, but to refresh the existing mark—refining its proportions, typography and usability while preserving the visual character longtime customers already knew. The updated blue-and-white logo remained unmistakably connected to the marina's history while working more cleanly across the website, signage, uniforms and business materials.

05 · The outcome
A reputation made visible.
The completed site gave a trusted local business a clearer digital sales tool: one that lets prospective customers see the yard, understand the services and assess the marina's capabilities before making contact.
It did not replace the credibility built over decades. It translated that credibility for people encountering Punta Gorda Marina online for the first time.
